Hello,

My name is Andrea Lo, and I am a journalist, editor and brand and content strategist, based in Hong Kong.

I have 14 years of experience in English-language print, digital and social media. I was previously at Tatler Asia (2021-2025), where I served as Tatler Hong Kong’s Executive Editor and Tatler Macau’s Editor, launching the latter in 2023. Before being promoted to those roles, I was the Editor of Tatler Homes Hong Kong.

My industry coverage includes luxury, travel, dining, architecture/design, real estate and entertainment. Today, I am lucky to attend international press trips and cover experiential stays hosted by luxury brands, hotels and restaurants around the world.

Before Tatler, I freelanced between 2015 and 2021, writing for publications around the world, and was a features producer at CNN International’s Hong Kong bureau from 2016 to 2019. My career started in 2012; from then until 2015, I was a staff writer at now-defunct HK Magazine and The List, two of Hong Kong’s best-loved English-language lifestyle publications

My work has appeared in Business Insider, The Independent and the South China Morning Post, among others. Over the years, I’ve been an opinion columnist for Asia Times, The Loop and Liv Magazine.

After spending 10 years at boarding school and university in England, I moved back to Hong Kong, where I grew up and consider home, in 2012. Fun fact: when Covid began, I decided to move from Hong Kong to Barbados.
